Glenfiddich 18 Year Old
Rich and complex, Glenfiddich 18 is matured in Oloroso sherry and bourbon casks, then married in small batches. The extra maturation builds layers of dried fruit, baking spice, and dark chocolate over the classic Glenfiddich character. Rich dried fruit, baked apple, toasted oak, and cinnamon open the nose; the palate is robust with bitter dark chocolate, plump raisins, and warm ginger-cinnamon spice over a firm tannic dryness, and a long finish lingers on raisin and plum with toasted oak and faint tobacco. Bottled at 40% ABV by Glenfiddich in Scotland and priced around $80 to $120, it presents a darker, more concentrated take on the range than its younger siblings.
