Amrut Fusion
Amrut Fusion takes its name from the blending of Indian unpeated barley with Scottish peated barley, distilled and matured by Amrut in Bangalore, India. The tropical maturation climate accelerates its development, producing a full-bodied world whisky bottled at 50% ABV. Peat smoke, cocoa, and honey open the nose alongside rich barley and dried fruit; the palate is full-bodied with peated malt, dark chocolate, spice, and tropical fruit, and a long, expansive finish carries smoky peat and bitter cocoa that give way to dried mango and molasses. The east-meets-west single malt earned broad recognition after Jim Murray rated it among the world's best, and it sits in the $55 to $75 range.
