Sobre

The American Standard Barrel (ASB), typically made from new charred American white oak (Quercus alba). By U.S. law, bourbon must be aged in new charred oak barrels, so after a single use these barrels are sold to distilleries worldwide. They are the most widely used cask type in the global whisky industry. The relatively small 200-liter capacity ensures a high surface-area-to-volume ratio, accelerating flavor extraction.
