Die süße, zuckerhaltige Flüssigkeit, die aus dem Maischbottich abgelassen wird, nachdem heißes Wasser vergärbaren Zucker aus dem Schrot extrahiert hat. Klare Würze wird zur Gärung in Gärbottiche überführt, während der Treber (Draff) zurückbleibt.
