Elijah Craig Small Batch
Named after the Baptist preacher often credited with first aging bourbon in charred oak barrels, Elijah Craig Small Batch is blended by Heaven Hill from barrels aged roughly eight to twelve years. The batching targets a consistent, richly flavored bourbon with classic vanilla and caramel. Vanilla, caramel, toasted oak, nutmeg, and brown sugar define the nose; the palate is rich with vanilla and caramel over warming cinnamon and nutmeg, brightened by citrus zest and framed by dried oak, and a long, warming finish fades from vanilla and brown sugar through building spice. Bottled at 47% ABV in the United States, it typically retails around $28 to $38.
