Chichibu On The Way
Chichibu On The Way is an ongoing series of limited releases from Ichiro Akuto's craft distillery in Japan. Each release captures the evolving character of maturing stock, showcasing young, vibrant expressions built on the distillery's well-regarded new-make spirit. Bottled at 58.5% ABV, it noses on fresh malted barley, zesty citrus peel, ripe mango, pineapple, and clean new American-oak vanilla; the palate is vibrant with fruit, honey, ginger, clean malt, and toasted oak, finishing long and intense with bright tropical fruit and warming cinnamon over new oak and lingering sweetness. Produced by Chichibu in Japan and priced above $300, it reflects the distillery's small-scale, collectible output rather than a fixed recipe.
