Angel's Envy Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Finished for an additional three to six months in ruby port wine barrels from Portugal, Angel's Envy is a Kentucky straight bourbon that layers dark fruit and wine complexity over a classic base. The finishing process was developed by master distiller Lincoln Henderson and shapes a profile of caramel, vanilla, maple, and subtle port. Caramel, vanilla, maple, ripe cherry, and a wisp of port open the nose; the palate is rich and smooth with maple, port-wine sweetness, dried fruit, and vanilla, resolving into a long finish of ripe port, creamy vanilla, and gently warming oak. Bottled at 43.3% ABV, it is produced at Heaven Hill in the United States and retails around $45 to $60.
