The Oloroso component shapes its character with dark chocolate, orange, and a fruity sweetness, while the ex-bourbon casks contribute vanilla and structural balance. Toffee and dark sherry lead the nose, layered over baked apple, warming ginger, cinnamon, and dried orange peel; the palate carries Oloroso, dark chocolate, orange, and gentle spice before a medium-long finish of soft oak tannins and lingering dried-orange warmth. Produced by Aberlour in Scotland and typically retailing around $40 to $55, it serves as the distillery's core age-stated release and a widely available example of sherry-influenced single malt Scotch.
