Extra-matured in ruby port pipes from the Quintas of Portugal, Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban 14 adds dark chocolate and berry fruit to the distillery's elegant spirit. Dark chocolate, fresh peppermint, rose petal, candied orange peel, and roasted walnut fill the nose; the palate is rich and velvety with dark chocolate, ruby port, Turkish delight, and spice, and a long, bittersweet-chocolate finish lingers on port and mint. Bottled at 46% ABV by Glenmorangie in Scotland and priced around $55 to $75, it is one of the most acclaimed expressions in the range, the port-pipe finishing distinguishing it from the lighter, bourbon-matured Original expression in the same range.
