Matured in sherry-seasoned casks and carrying the distillery's heather-peat smoke, Highland Park 18 Viking Pride ranks among the most awarded single malts in the world. Eighteen years of maturation build depth and balance. Rich sherry, heather honey, aromatic smoke, dried orange, and spice fill the nose; the palate is full-bodied with dark chocolate, dried fruit, honey, gentle peat, and oak, and a very long, warming finish lingers on honey-smoke and dried fruit. Bottled at 43% ABV by Highland Park in Scotland and priced around $120 to $160, it combines the sherry-cask richness and floral peat that define the distillery in an especially refined form.
