The nose is rich with dark chocolate, dried fruit, raisins, peat smoke, and sherry; the palate turns to dark chocolate, cherry, dates, gentle smoke, and toasted oak, and a long, rich finish carries deep sherry sweetness and lingering smoke. Bottled at 43% ABV, it is produced by Bowmore in Scotland as a sherried counterpart to the twelve-year expression and typically retails around $60 to $80.
