Japanese Whisky Standards
Voluntary standards introduced in 2021 by the Japan Spirits & Liqueurs Makers Association requiring Japanese whisky to be fermented, distilled, and aged in Japan for at least three years. Prior to these standards, labeling was largely unregulated.
