概要
A large cask traditionally made from European oak (Quercus robur), previously used to mature oloroso sherry — an oxidatively aged, dry style of fortified wine from the Jerez region of Spain. Oloroso sherry butts are among the most prized casks in the whisky industry for their ability to impart deep color, rich dried fruit notes, and complex spice. The larger volume means slower maturation but exceptional depth of flavor.
