Blanton's Original Single Barrel
When it launched in 1984, Blanton's became the world's first commercially marketed single barrel bourbon. Each bottle is drawn from the center-cut floors of Warehouse H at Buffalo Trace and sealed with a collectible horse-and-jockey stopper cast in one of eight racing poses. Bottled at 46.5% ABV, it noses on bright citrus zest, butterscotch caramel, vanilla bean, cool mint, and brown sugar over subtle corn warmth. The palate is rich with caramel and dark stone fruit, bright orange citrus, creamy vanilla, and warming clove across a silky, oily mouthfeel, closing on a long, smooth finish of lingering vanilla and dried fruit. It is produced in the United States and retails around $60 to $80.
